What we use
STUDIA uses artificial intelligence models from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google to process your materials, generate study content and power Senior, the assistant you chat with. When you write to Senior you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system, not with a person.
Providers and purposes
Anthropic

- Senior: chat answers and content created in the chat
- Text recognition (OCR) from photos, scanned PDFs and images
OpenAI

- Transcription of audio, video and voice dictations
- Semantic indexing of materials to find the relevant passages

How we use them
STUDIA’s output is generated automatically by artificial intelligence from the materials you upload and from your requests, and is labelled as such in the app and in PDFs. It may contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions, even when it cites your sources: always check it before using it. It does not constitute professional advice (medical, legal, financial or psychological).
Data handling
Content is sent to the providers only when you use a feature that requires it and only to the extent necessary. Under the providers’ terms for paid API use, the data sent is not used to train their models; providers may retain it for a limited period for security and abuse-prevention purposes. The providers process data in the United States and in other countries: the safeguards for transfers are described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content or use it for purposes other than providing the service.
Sources of bibliographic data
The Research feature and Senior query public academic databases and show bibliographic metadata (titles, authors, abstracts, links) provided by Semantic Scholar (Allen Institute for AI), OpenAlex, PubMed, arXiv, Crossref, CORE, DOAJ and dblp. STUDIA is not affiliated with or endorsed by these sources. This product uses publicly available data from the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services; NLM is not responsible for the product and does not endorse or recommend this or any other product. The rights in the works cited remain with their respective owners.
Your rights
You have the right to know when you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system and when content is generated by artificial intelligence: in STUDIA this applies to all the output of the processing features and of Senior. You can delete materials, outputs, conversations and Senior’s memory at any time, or your whole account from the Profile page.
